Mission Noise Test System

This measurement system measures gear noise using acceleration sensors and microphones to detect vibrations and noises generated from the gear on a Mission Line tester, and determines the quality of the product.
The front-end for measurement uses a RION SA-02 multi-channel analysis processor and communicates with the transmission control system (sequencer) via RS-232C.
Measurement begins with a start signal from the transmission test machine's control panel. The system performs rotational increase/decrease and steady-state testing for each gear, and the measured vibrations are analyzed using FFT to calculate the power spectrum and order, thereby determining the gear noise.
Separate Furthermore, judgments can also be made using the MTA method, POA (Partial Overall), and wave crest factor calculation.
