Sound Source Visualization Using Acoustic Holography SORAMA

Sound Source Visualization Using Acoustic Holography

What is SORAMA?

Sorama is a sound source detection system that visualizes minute sound sources with extremely high resolution using the Near-Auditory Acoustic Holography (NAH) method.
Using a grid-like arrangement of up to 1024 channels (CAM1K) of digital MEMS microphone arrays, it enables precise analysis with reduced ambient noise by measuring at a distance of 30mm from the target object. It exhibits excellent accuracy even in low-frequency bands where conventional beamforming methods struggle, and a major feature is its ability to calculate maps of not only sound pressure but also particle velocity"" and ""acoustic intensity. The system is linked to a cloud service (Microsoft Azure), allowing for high-speed distributed processing of data recorded on-site, and providing analysis results in the latest software environment at all times.
